Other Stuff I do

Please read before commenting!

:bulletblack::bulletpink:Comment Policy:bulletpink::bulletblack:

Yes! I do have a comment policy on my stamps! Please take a moment to read it.

I haven't really had very many problems, because most of the people who comment on my stamps are awesome people who aren't jerks, and can handle themselves in discussions maturely.

I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, but I'd like a little bit of civility kept in my comments sections, so please respect my wishes when it comes to the following requests:

:bulletpink: Do not deliberately insult myself or any other commenter. Example: Calling someone a "stupid bitch" instead of saying, "I don't agree with you, and this is why..."
:bulletblack: Do not harass anyone inside my comments section.
:bulletpink: Do not spam.
:bulletblack: Do not leave immature comments that do not contribute to the conversation in any way. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to smiley faces and stuff like that, but when you do things like this, I find it tiresome and annoying.
:bulletpink: If you can't say something constructive to either side of the coin, or can't back up your opinion with explanation, don't say anything at all.

I have a 1-strike rule with these terms... One warning, and if it happens again, it's very likely that I will block you.

I WON'T block you if you...
:bulletpink: express an opinion different than mine.
:bulletblack: know more about a topic than I do.
:bulletpink: win an argument
:bulletblack: make me look like a complete idiot.

I WILL block you if you...
:bulletpink: can't contribute to the conversation maturely.
:bulletblack: deliberately insult myself or another deviant as described above.
:bulletpink: harass anyone within my comments sections.
:bulletblack: spam my profile or stamp comments sections.

:bulletblack::bulletpink:If someone is giving you trouble...:bulletpink::bulletblack:

Because I don't get notifications when someone responds to your comments, I might not see everything that is said in my comments sections right away. If someone is harassing you, let me know so that I can take appropriate actions.

Just a note - by commenting on my stamps, you automatically agree to the terms described, whether or not you've actually sat down to read this. Please respect my wishes when it comes to my comment sections. Have fun, be kind to each other, and keep it at least a bit civil. Thanks!

How *YOU* can kill CISPA

Journal Entry: Fri May 25, 2012, 5:01 PM

CISPA Headed for a Senate vote soon, likely in Early June

EDIT
Put this picture in your journal, or link it to your friends! If you're in the US you can do something to help stop CISPA.  If you want to retain your freedoms on the internet, and the freedoms of those all over the world who use American-based servers, you gotta be on top of it, you gotta contact your representatives, you gotta be part of this process.

CISPA is expected to be voted on between..

You guys can stop it.

Remember CISPA? It passed the House back in April.  It's coming up for a vote in the Senate soon, and if you'd like your internet privacy protected, it's your responsibility to have your say.  The website, Privacy Is Awesome, is a new website that helps to connect you to your Senator (they supply numbers, a form to report back, and even a script if you aren't the best with words).  They help you to email your Senator.  Every donation that is made towards the people who helped stop SOPA and PIPA will be matched up to $5000 by Bob Fertik, of Democrats.com.

Take a minute to read the information below.

CISPA, the Cyber Information Sharing and Protection Act, passed the House in April.  It's headed for what seems to be a Senate vote in early June.

To drum up opposition to the legislation, which would create "a 'cybersecurity' exemption to all existing laws,"  Fight for the Future, Democrats.com, The Liberty Coalition, and the Entertainment Consumers Association have all created a new website called Pivacy is Awesome.

The site outlines the top five ways to help defeat CISPA.

:bulletred:Call your senators and tell them to oppose the Lieberman-Collins bill (CISPA), and ask for a constituent meeting during the Memorial Day recess to help change their mind.
:bulletred:Email senators offices about CISPA, expressing your opposition.
:bulletred:Keep calling senators until they plan a constituent meeting.
:bulletred:Donate to anti-CISPA organizers -  the same teams that helped defeat SOPA/PIPA
:bulletred:Share your opposition online - Facebook Twitter, etc.

Meanwhile, Sen. Ron Wyden D-Ore, is spearheading opposition to the legislation, concluding a recent SEnate floor speech with:

I believe these bills will encourage the development of a cyber security industry that profits from fear and whose currency is Americans private data. These bills create a Cyber Industrial Complex that has an interest in preserving the problem to which it is the solution.
