In the 2008 election, Mitt Romney gave John McCain 23 years of his tax returns in the hopes that he would be McCain's VP candidate. McCain turned him down in favor of Sarah Palin, later explaining "We thought that Sarah Palin was the better candidate." So he was okay with releasing 23 years of his tax returns in order to get the job of Vice President, but not President? Hm. What does John McCain know that the American people don't?
I personally think that Mittens should have released his tax returns, as it might have helped him in the Election. But he really had no obligation to; it's his business. The accusation that he didn't pay taxes wasn't based on any facts.
Mitt's just another politician trying to hide things-- that seems to be quite common with them, regardless of political party.
I don't put much stock into some of the things candidates say about their past, like if Mitt's father marched with MLK Jr. How is that relevant to Mitt's qualifications as President? The candidates and politicians usually embellish things anyways. Al Gore used to say he invented the internet. Not even close, Gore. Gotta love it though! It gives plenty of material for comedians.
Darn politicians. Almost all of them are crooked and lie about everything. They just make you wonder why the heck people voted for them in the first place.
They're all idiots in Washington. They need a moron they can relate to. (Family Guy reference) Maybe Mitt is that moron? Nah.
That's a good question - but I think the real issue here is that Obama is a Gay Kenyan Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrator who is ruining the country with his socialist views and his Obamacare. The long-form's a fake!
