My dad always taught me that swearing (and name-calling, for that matter) in a debate or discussion only makes it look like you've lost your cool. It makes you look stupid, overly emotional, and like you've lost the argument and have to resort to childish behavior.
Sure, it's easy to get caught up in the moment, and some of the names or words you come up with might even seem funny to you and others - but in the end, all it does is make you look desperate and pathetic.
*This is not to say that swearing is just awful, the worst thing to ever say, etc etc. I like to swear. It's just part of my vocabulary. I just want to point out that 'christfag' just makes you seem a little less worth talking to. In my opinion.
