I'm pretty sure the bible *is* a manmade creed. Morality is not relative, but it must be learned. Evolution happens right in front of us, why do people think you need a Flu shot every year and Gonorrhea and TB are becoming immune to antibiotics
I'm still ashamed to say that a lot of my relatives religiously (see what I did there? >u>) watch FOX News and find it to be the absolute truth. We try not to bring it up around them though. Well at least they keep making these fun segments. That first quote though...omg I couldn't stop snickering.
I know what you mean, I have some family who likes to watch Fox because, well, the rest of the media HAS A LIBERAL BIAS AHHHH or something like that. When I heard that guy say that he didn't teach man-made creed, he taught the bible, I was just like...
There is more to life than just being a good person, there is the need to grow and achieve personal satisfaction in your lifetime. That does not happen when religion bludgeons you and demands supplication because you were made flawed but they have the answer... Its a good thing that the unaffiliated are coming out of the woodwork. Religion has gotten a free pass to way to many excesses. Lies, manipulation, theft, rape, molestation, murder... those who commit these atrocities must be held accountable. If it takes "a diminished life" to see this and act on it, I will gladly accept that if others would not fall prey to them.
Morality is not relative, but it must be learned.

"...they're not hungry for religion, they're hungry for a relationship with God..."
..Erm, also known as a religion....
