Let me tell you a story about this election.

In the beginning, Man created God.

From that point on, Man used God to defend Man's opinions.

Whenever Man made a claim, Man said God agreed.

But if another made a claim that Man did not like, God did not like it either.

And soon it came to pass that the other became the hated heretic, and all of Man's opinions were considered the epitome of godliness and morality.

And Man saw that it was good.  

And then it came to pass that Man, disillusioned by his own pride in his creation, forgot that it was he who had created God in the first place.

And God told Man that it was His Will that only the righteous shall inherit the earth.

And God told Man that it was His Will that women honor and respect their husbands and masters. 

And God told Man how to keep slaves, and to murder those whom God grew displeased with.

And God told Man to kill homosexuals, witches, unruly children, those who do not listen to priests, fortunetellers, adulterers, fornicators, followers of other religions, nonbelievers, false prophets, entire towns if even one person worships another God, women who are not virgins on their wedding nights, blasphemers, infidels, those who work on the Sabbath, anyone who approaches the Tabernacle, sons of sinners, first born sons, old men, young women, babies, families of sinners, those he had judged to be unworthy.

And God saw that it was good.

And God demanded that His name be scrawled upon the walls of secular institutions, for to do otherwise was a grave insult to God. 

And Man obeyed, writing "In God We Trust" upon his currency and upon his higher courts of law.

And God demanded that women not commit abortion, for it was not God's Plan.

And Man obeyed, fighting tooth and nail for abortion to be outlawed in God's Country.

And God demanded that His name be invoked at least once in major political party platforms, for to do otherwise was a dishonour to God.

And Man did so, and judged the opposing men poorly for not doing so immediately.

And God demanded that His name be in the Pledge of Allegiance, and that to do otherwise would be depriving children of their freedom of religion.

And Man made it so.

And God demanded that His Laws be posted in public schools and upon publicly owned property, for to do otherwise was an attack on God.

And Man could not do this, for the unfaithful were being mean and committing a war on Religion and it was all very unfair.  But God understood that Man was fighting the good fight, and forgave Man for his failure.

And God demanded that Man pray for the United States, and for the Republican party to be successful in the upcoming elections.

And Man prayed, in Rick Perry's prayer rally for a Nation in Crisis.

And God demanded that Mitt Romney be elected president in 2012, for to elect the Muslim communist anti-Christ would be to ask for God to judge the United States, and to incur his wrath upon America.

And Man made predictions, Man sang the praises of Mitt Romney, and demonized the foul B. Hussein Obama.  Man voted Romney, knowing that God was guiding him towards the Presidency.

And then it came to pass that Romney lost. 

And Man saw that God was silent.

And Man wept, and asked for God's forgiveness. 

Hearing nothing, Man spit vile curses invoking God's wrath at his fellow countrymen. 

And nothing happened.
